Primary Education, State Pensions and the female vote was introduced by Liberal Governments. The NHS by a Labour Government. The Conservatives introduced income tax and the police.
That is why they like power and money and dislike having to negotiate with others. The income tax (collected from the poor) funded the army and politics giving key jobs to the landed gentry.
A hung parliament would mean they would not be in complete control, very uncomfortable for them, and they would not be able to repay their million pound sponsors by reducing inheritance tax. That is why they did not get invovled in the pre-election cross party conferences - they want their own way.
So they put their sponsored millions into a "Hung Party" television broadcast to scare us. Ofcourse Cameron can complain about Labour threats (Second TV Debate) but he can threaten who he likes.
