Dear Independent on Sunday,
What is the truth about Immigration? The so called Truth" portrayed by Jonathan Owen and Victoria Richards article (Sunday 25th October) was just as biased as the BNP suggestions it tried to respond to. The article claimed "all races do live together and respect each other's differences" and seemed to base this on 20 people's views.
Ignoring the fact that 20 is hardly a representative sample of any significance, not one of the twenty people chosen was a white working class person indigenous to an area taken over by an ethnic minority. The Independent is not being so independent!
The BNP have latched on to these people (white working class person indigenous)because the major political parties, keen to create an image of political correctness, have failed to address the problem.
I am not a BNP supporter, I normally vote Liberal Democrat, but having watched Question Time, Nick Griffin raised some truths that the other parties continually fail to address.
I generally have no problems with immigrants, they often show up some of the lazier and idle pockets of the white community. I am however really concerned about Muslims. As Christopher Caldwell wrote "Islam in Europe is different. Since its arrival half a century ago, Islam has broken-or required adjustments to, or rearguard defenses of-a good many of European customs, received ideas, and state structures with which it has come in contact with." That is a fact, that is truth.
