I thought tenant exploitation was a thing of the past, but Rachmanism is back at Mobile Home Parks.
Many elderly people are realising their assets by selling up and buying a mobile home. All good for releasing properties far too big for them but making them available to younger needier families.
However, the promise of living the remainder of their life in a new home is soon thwarted. Clauses that the site may request you replace your home after 10 years become reality. Then they offer you a pittance and insist you buy and sell through them.
Like the elderly lady on a Park Holiday home who found that her home that was not suitable for her to keep was then offered for sale at 3 times what they had given her.
Complain, and another clause let's them throw you off the site.
It has been going on for years and governments fail to do anything about the modern day Rachmans.
